This is the story of a boy named Lawrence King.
It's a very sad story and it's quite frightening
On February 12th, 2008
He was murdered at school just because he wasn't straight.
Lawrence was a boy who was openly gay
Like so many others, he was born that way
He was aware of who he was, he was full of gay pride
He was 15 years old on the day that he died.
It's a terrible shame some people don't understand
That there are gays and lesbians all over this land
Homophobia needs to stop. This whole story's really rotten.
We're remembering you Lawrence, you will never be forgotten.
